THE ESSENCE OF LIGHT
In cooperation with Louis Poulsen Lighting, Krabbesholm has arranged a lamp competition with the theme "The Essence of Light".
The contestants have to make a lamp of Tyvek, a polyethylene material that filters the light in approximately the same way as opal glass and plastic. The assignment is to give the light character. To work with the contrast between brightness and darkness. To form the light.
The competition is open to all present and former students from Krabbesholm Højskole. A selection committee made up of product manager Vibeke Mogensen from Louise Poulsen and Nanna Vestergaard and Kurt Finsten from Krabbesholm Højskole has chosen three winners of the competition:
- Tomoyo Kawata
- Sophie Andersen
- Roar Jenslev & Mads Peterson.
The three winners will have their lamps tested and type approved by Louis Poulsen.
Furthermore, they will have their lamps showed at the furniture fair in Milan and at the Copenhagen International Furniture Fair together with 12 other selected projects from the competition (above).
