DAN GRAHAM. “CHILL OUT PAVILION”
On October 2nd Krabbesholm has opened Dan Graham’s new pavilion for the school: “Chill Out Pavilion”.
Dan Graham has for more than fourty years been an influential figure in contemporary art, working both as an artist, a curator and a writer. His wide variety of work consists of film, video, performance, installation, architecture, women’s magazines and rock music.
15.10.10 Graphic Design | Graphic design was invited to contribute with posters to Green-Herning-Week.
The themes were sustainability and less waste. The posters were supposed to convey their messages in the streets of Herning.
10.10.10 Architecture | The architecture course has just arrived from an amazing study trip to Paris.

10.06.10 Graphic Design | The students at Graphic Design have each made a sign with the Hollywood typography. The exhibition will display new video and photo works by the artist, along with some of Auder's earlier works never before exhibited in Denmark.

11.11.09 Art | Art students have made posters based on poems they have written themselves. The poster have been displayed in the neighbourhood of Sankt Hans Torv in Copenhagen where they act as private statements in the public space.
11.11.09 Photography | Reenactment also serves as a good way of gaining practical experience with lighting, recording, editing etc. – when you reenact, the contents is already given allowing the student to pay her/his full attention to the technical aspects of film- and video production.

09.11.09 Design | We have been collecting plastic bottles, plastic or paper bags and cardboard boxes of any size, shape or colur to form a material ressource.
09.11.09 Design | A simple exercise - on paper. Take an existing piece of furniture, and give it the necessary treatment so that it can be described in the same way that you can.
09.11.09 Architecture | To increase comprehension of the importance in regards to detailing when working with architecture, this 1:1 scale assignment is an exploration of the furniture-types; table, chair and shelving unit.

21.10.09 Art | The Norwegian visual artist and musician is an artist in residence for a couple of months. He taught working with collage for a week. Some of the results are shown here.

ITS ALL BLUE
27.04.09 | Blue is the colour of the sky and the sea. Blue is the favourite colour of the Western World. The darkblue suit and the blue denim, that remind us of cowboys and the Wild West.
07.04.09 | An assignment on sex. The students should work with the theme in a subtle and discrete manner. And there are no graphic scenes or images of bodies allowed. The students decide for themselves what has "sexappeal".

WINNER OF THE BOW-WOW STOOL COMPETITION
The 10 finalists in the competition have now produced their stools in 1:1 and the jury consisting of representatives of PP Møbler, Atelier Bow-Wow and Krabbesholm Højskole has chosen a winner.

INTRODUCTION COURSE TO DRAWING
21.02.09 | It is not always easy to disseminate your surroundings and architechtural visions.
This years course we began sketching, measuring and learning different ground principles in the world of drawing and perspektiv drawing. Now it is up to the individual student to develop their own technique.
21.02.09 | Silk screen printed posters. Inspired by the artist Sol LeWitt’s “35 Sentences on Conceptual Art”. The work with silk screen prints often produces small errors and mistakes resulting in a more handmade aestetic which is very beautiful. Small gifts so to speak!
