08.09.11 Graphic Design | The first assignment of the autumn has only one element: a font. The font should serve as the only platform to design a concept of two posters and a book of 16 pages. Along the week the students gave presentations to each other about the fonts, their design and history.

On October 2nd Krabbesholm has opened Dan Graham’s new pavilion for the school: “Chill Out Pavilion”.
Dan Graham has for more than fourty years been an influential figure in contemporary art, working both as an artist, a curator and a writer. His wide variety of work consists of film, video, performance, installation, architecture, women’s magazines and rock music.

STOPMOTION
09.09.09 Photography | As a joint start of the semester all students across the different main courses have worked with film as a theme. On the photography course the students ended up making a stop motion movie with their camera.

09.09.09 Architecture | With inspiration from 'The Pillow Book' by P. Greenway, the students had to create a scenic room where the main character of the movie, Nagiko, would meet her lovers.

ADMISSIONS FOR ART ACADEMYS
08.06.09 Art | Every spring the students from the art course prepares their application for various educational institutions. This year students have been accepted to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, The Jutland Art Academy, Goldsmiths in London, Central Saint Martins in London and the two Danish design schools in Copenhagen and Kolding.

18.06.09 Graphic Design | Grafisk Design’s study trip went to Berlin. We were visiting famous studios, we were studying the typography of the streets, we were watching architecture and fine arts - and returning home everybody did a poster inspired by the trip.

CAUGHT IN ACTION
27.04.09 | Starting from the primary components of a lamp being bulb, cord, socket and plug, lamps have been developed that relate to need, context, concept and fantasy.
ITS ALL BLUE
27.04.09 | Blue is the colour of the sky and the sea. Blue is the favourite colour of the Western World. The darkblue suit and the blue denim, that remind us of cowboys and the Wild West.
HOME ASSIGNMENTS
27.04.09 | A lot of our students are every spring applying for the Graphic Design schools in Denmark and abroad.

07.04.09 | An assignment on sex. The students should work with the theme in a subtle and discrete manner. And there are no graphic scenes or images of bodies allowed. The students decide for themselves what has "sexappeal".

07.04.09 | Three assignments with fashion and commercial photographer Mikkel Strange. In all the pictures there has been worked a lot with light both natural and artificial.

WINNER OF THE BOW-WOW STOOL COMPETITION
The 10 finalists in the competition have now produced their stools in 1:1 and the jury consisting of representatives of PP Møbler, Atelier Bow-Wow and Krabbesholm Højskole has chosen a winner.

INTRODUCTION COURSE TO DRAWING
21.02.09 | It is not always easy to disseminate your surroundings and architechtural visions.
This years course we began sketching, measuring and learning different ground principles in the world of drawing and perspektiv drawing. Now it is up to the individual student to develop their own technique.

21.02.09 | Silk screen printed posters. Inspired by the artist Sol LeWitt’s “35 Sentences on Conceptual Art”. The work with silk screen prints often produces small errors and mistakes resulting in a more handmade aestetic which is very beautiful. Small gifts so to speak!
