Parasitic Furniture

A parasitic piece of furniture is a small scale piece of furniture or furnishing that only works in coherence with another piece of furniture or another element in the home. It would have to relate to another funiture or to part of the regular equipment of the home inside or outside. It could be dependent on a wall to lean on or a bedpost to hang on to etc.
