PHOTO APPLICATIONS
During the semester some of the students have sent in applications for different photography schools. Here you can see three of our photography students' applications.

This year students have applied for the School of Photography at Göteborg University that offers a three year course leading to a Degree of Bachelor in Photography and a two year course leading to a Degree of Master in Photography focussing on the student's own artistic work. The entrance examination consists of five of the student's own photographic work and a motivation text. The showed works emphasized the personal style and aesthetics in the pictures as well as considerations on photography as an artistic medium.

Students have also applied for the course in photo journalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. The entrance examination consists of a portrait and a photographic series of four pictures treating a specific topic. The topic this year was “Almost Grown-Up”. The submitted photo series is coverage of the life of a 17-year-old girl that according to the constitution is on the threshold of adult life. The series is on her daily life as a student at Det Frie Gymnasium (an unconventional Danish high school) as well as on an afternoon at cheerleader practice.

A few students have applied for the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The entrance examination consists of three to five works at the applicant's own option. The works should have a connection. The leading principle of the submitted works is a fascination of how the title can influence a picture, and the starting point of all the titles is how something can be done.
The last series is four stills from the video "How to get to know someone" which can be viewed here in its full length.
