HOLLYWOOD SIGN
As you might have noticed, in the last minute they succeeded in saving the most famous letters in the world: the Hollywood sign. A group of investors planned to erect four luxurious buildings at the plot where the 15 metres high sign has been since 1923. However, the state of California and numerous Hollywood stars have collected 12.5 million dollar in order to purchase the land and the building plans have now been stopped. "This was exactly the Hollywood ending we hoped for", Arnold Schwarzenegger stated after Hugh Hefner (Playboy) had donated the last USD 900,000 needed to preserve the sign. "It's a symbol of dreams and opportunity. The Hollywood sign will welcome dreamers, artists and Austrian bodybuilders for generations to come." Arnold Schwarzenegger concluded.
The students at Graphic Design have each made a sign with the Hollywood typography. With the sign they were to make a mythology about a self-elected place at the school so that this place in the future would welcome dreamers, artists, Austrian bodybuilders and other students welcome at Krabbesholm.
