HELVETICA FAVORITES

A documentary film Helvetica Dokumentary by Gary Hustwit put a font in the center of design history. Helvetica, which is so common and widespread. Some love it, some hate it, others still perceive it as their native language or simply air.
After watching the movie we set Helvetica on another test for the semester's first real assignment. A poster project with its startingpoint in a quote from the movie.
The task fell into three parts: First, a hand-drawn sketch version, then a purely typographic proposal and finally a proposal with an illustration added, which supplemented the quote.
The posters here are the individual students‘ own favorites.
