Posters

The art of printing was invented in China in the 6th century. In 1040 woodblock printing was replaced by movable types and around 1230 metal movable type was invented in Korea. Around 1450 Johannes Gutenberg introduced what is generally regarded as an independent invention of movable type in Europe.
In 2009 graphic design students have developed and cut their own movable types to be used for posters quoting artists such as Klee, Giacometti, Andy Warhol, Beuys, Jeff Koons, Sarah Lucas, Dali, and Hans von Marées.
The posters have been printed on Krabbesholm’s graphic press.
