Paris mon amour

The students were to work with selected squares in Paris. Places with strong historic and cultural value for Paris and the Parisians. The selected squares were Place Furstenberg, Place des Vosges, Place des Abesses, Place Marche Sainte Catherine og Place de la Contrescarpe.
The task was to come up with a contemporary architectural shaping that started out with a mapping of each site.
The projects were very different in outcome, and for instance at Place des Vosges the students suggested new ways of using the square and also a new way of using the arcades around the square. At Place de la Contrescape a modern illuminated glass high tech translation of the old threes was made. - A very different kind of street furniture for the Parisians and the rest of us as well.
